Participated in a six-person student lead team of architecture and construction management students. Each person had their own specified role: Project Executive, Estimator, Project Architect, Project Manager, Super Intendent and Project Designer.
As the Project Architect I was responsible for meeting Skanska's design requirements while making sure they followed the ADA guidelines for the renovation of Stairway 11 in Penn Station.
The project lasted from September 1 to November 11, where the team would meet virtually on a weekly basis to discuss each other's progress, while making sure every deadline was met. During the second weekend of November, we took a team bus to a conference center in Albany, NY where we presented our final design build proposal to the Skanska Construction judging panel.
