"Mannahatta Simulacra" Fall 2024


Reshaping the pedestrian navigation around Columbus Circle.
What if Columbus Circle was indigenous?
How should Christopher Columbus be viewed as a historical figure?
Two story elevated air-locked circular structure functions as a walkway and exhibition space around the new iteration of Christopher Columbus. Now, the statue is placed inside a Native American inspired teepee with poles representing arrows pointed at him, not with him.
