The goal was to find a program/institute that needed a reformation and address "what's at stake?" After researching, I came across an article from the residents of Canarsie who advocated for a ferry station only a few months prior.
Upon visiting the site in person, I noticed the abundance of fisherman with little to no additional program on the pier. This led to the theme for the ferry station and fishing market to be centered around fish and the history of fish in the Canarsie community.
The plan follows a three-act structure:
First Act: Fishing Education: Dedicated towards quiet activities for the fisherman.
Second Act: Producing and Purchasing: where you can learn more about how to cook and purchase fish and other food.
Third Act: Departure: Learning more about the functionality and use of the ferry and ferry station.
